You can check Google’s eligibility guidelines here.

Getting started

  1. If you’re not already registered, you’ll need to register your organisation with Connecting Up if you haven’t done so already.
  2. Once you’ve been approved or if you’re already a member, then you’ll want to get your TechSoup Validation Token so that you can complete your application with Google. Validation tokens are free and can be generated at any time by clicking ‘TechSoup Validation Tokens’ on the Connecting Up account dashboard. Read an FAQ on validation tokens.
  3. Once you have copied your validation token code, go to Google for Nonprofits to complete your application. Google will contact you once they’ve finished processing your application but keep in mind this can take a few business days.
  4. If you need additional support, Google have a comprehensive help centre for nonprofits.
